Expiration date labeling for FBA

Expiration-dated products need their date where Amazon can read it. PrepVia checks each dated unit at receiving and labels it with the expiration date in Amazon's format before it ships to Amazon.

What the service covers

  • The date on every unit

The expiration date Amazon requires on each unit of an expiration-dated product.

  • Amazon's format

MM-DD-YYYY or MM-YYYY, on every unit and on the outside of any bag or wrap, and on the outer box in 36-point type or larger.

  • Checked at receiving

Each dated unit is checked when it arrives at the PrepVia warehouse in Miami.

  • Kits carry the earliest date

A kit carries the earliest expiration date among its components, printed on the outside of the kit.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Put the date on the request

In the notes of your Send to Amazon request, write the expiration date the units carry, next to any other prep they need.

  2. Step 2

    Checked and dated

The team checks the dates against your note, prints the label in Amazon's format and applies it to each unit, outside any bag or wrap.

  3. Step 3

Dated on the outer box too

The carton that goes to Amazon carries the date as well, in 36-point type or larger, as Amazon's packaging requirements ask.
